This is a discussion on AfterGraduation's new article "GMAT Exam To Be 30 Minutes Shorter From April 16, Major Changes To Know".
MBA Aspirants vying for admission into premiere B-Schools across the globe will now have to appear for a 30-minute shorter Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). From April 16, 2018, the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) is shortening the length of the GMAT exam by 30 minutes as part of its ongoing focus on creating the best possible testing experience and offering user-friendly features to candidates.
Beginning from April 16, the new shorter exam from four hours to three-and-a-half hours will be available for test-takers worldwide. The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the owner of the GMAT has announced that the quality of the exam and scoring algorithm of the exam remains unchanged in terms of reliability, validity, security and integrity. The total Score and individual Quantitative and Verbal section scores will be comparable to the exams taken prior to this change.
GMAT scores before and after this change will be the same and comparable across time. This change will not affect GMAT exam scoring as the number of scored questions will not change. There is no action or change required on the part of Business Schools and Universities. GMAC with their objective will provide with the same high quality, fair and reliable scores of the candidates to Business Schools.
